Miniya Chatterji

Currently the CEO of SustainLabs, a company she founded that works on sustainability, Miniya holds a doctorate from Sciences Po, Paris. She was also a PhD fellow at Harvard University and Columbia University. At the start of her career, Miniya served in Paris as a Policy Analyst for Fondapol, founded by the Chief Advisor to the French President Chirac. She has since held diverse positions in her career, serving as an investment banker with Goldman Sachs, as program manager for the World Economic Forum in Geneva, as founder of the Stargazers Foundation and as Chief Sustainability officer for Jindal Steel and Power Ltd. She is a Global Leadership Fellow of the World Economic Forum and currently serves on the Steering Group for Sustainability for the United Nations Global Compact Network India and the World Steel Sustainability Expert Group. Miniya's work on sustainability has been recognized in numerous forums, having received the ‘Most Influential Sustainability Leader in India’ award at the India Sustainability Leadership Summit & Awards. She was also awarded by the Navoothan Foundation and received the ‘CSR India Award’ for her work in corporate social responsibility. Miniya's latest work is the best-selling 'Indian Instincts: Essays on Freedom and Equality in India' (Penguin Random House, 2018).
