Board Advisor (Integrated Protection Coordinator, International Rescue Committee)

Leisha Beardmore

Currently serving as the Integrated Protection Coordinator in Iraq and Syria for the International Rescue Committee, she leads a team of over 150 to work on women’s protection and empowerment, child protection, rule of law and psychosocial support. An alumna of the London School of Economics and the University of Warwick, she has extensive experience of working with non-profit organizations in diverse contexts and regions, from anti-trafficking in Cambodia to women’s rights in Russia and Ethiopia. Leisha has also served as an advisor to the UN and to the UK Parliament on policies around human rights and protection of vulnerable communities (including those displaced due to conflict, political unrest and climate change).
